Beach Mourteri

Mourteri beach is a small seaside village that belongs to the municipality Kimi-Aliveri and district Avlonos . The settlement of Mourteri like the beach, has taken its name from Mourtara who upon the Byzantine and the Venetian era had it as his seaport. It is one of the longest beaches of Evia and a strongly growing tourist place.

A beach with small pebbles, sand inside and outside the coast, is certainly ideal for water sports because of the strong winds, as it is exposed to the endless Aegean.

In Mourteri you will find taverns and cafes which are open throughout the summer season but also in the nearby places like Avlonari and Kimi you will find many places worth stopping and visiting sites and beautiful areas.

For more information about the attractions press here.

You will even meet the banks of the river Neleus and a canopy of plane-trees ending up to the beach of Mourteri. Truly a place you should not miss.

Avlonari

In Avlonari, situated 10 km before you reach Mourteri you can find good coffee to drink and very good food. Avlonari hosts one of the largest bazaars in the area. It starts in early October and lasts about a week. In Avlonari you will find a supermarket to buy food and whatever you need.

Kimi

Kimi has a distance of 16 km from the hotel. Of course the whole route you will follow is beautiful. Do not hesitate to visit it. You will not forget it easily as it is very picturesque and the road is smooth. You will find to park and do all your shopping. You can visit monuments like the Folklore Museum, the Monastery of the Transfiguration, three Byzantine churches in Oxilithos, the archaeological sites in the river of Potamia and the ruined medieval tower in St Mandylion. Of course the area is rich in taverns, restaurants and fast food.

We also recommend visiting the nearby beaches such as:

Hiliadou, Kalamos, Korasida, Zarakes, Stomio, Almyrichiou, Limnionas, Petali, St. Dimitris.
